These frames have been produced to a Nelson design by one of the top Taiwanese manufacturers. Unlike many, this no road frame with mudguard eyes tacked on!
The frames are made from double butted 7005 aluminium & have mudguard & carrier eyes in the correct places. ie The carrier mounts do not interfere with operation of rear brake & the rear carrier may be fitted properly & easily without the need for modification to the carrier fittings. They are comfortable to ride and very forgiving in crosswinds.
The top tube length & head/fork geometry ensure that there is no pedal overlap of the front mudguard.
EXTERNAL cable guides & bosses are included, for less friction and far easier maintenance.
They will take 28mm tyres. 47/57mm brake callipers are required.
A 27.2mm seatpin is required, but not included. A seat clamp is provided.
We recommend the SKS P35 mudguards with this frameset.
A replaceable rear gear hanger is used.
All these frames are measured from the centre of the bottom bracket shell to the top of the seat tube, which finishes about 25mm above the top tube.
3 sizes are available & these are shown in the accompanying image, which also gives the geometry for the various sizes.
Forks are available (See frameset entry for details) at £50 but are only supplied with a frame. If required, please advise, via additional comments and the extra cost can be added to the order manually.
