Update to severe weather disruption.

Interlink Express are still clearing the backlog of delayed shipments caused by the recent severe weather. We have received the following email.
INTERLINK EXPRESS DELIVERIES TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED IN SCOTLAND AND NEWCASTLE. As of today Interlink Express is unable to guarantee that parcels sent to Scotland and Newcastle will be delivered before Christmas. In addition we have a significant backlog of parcels in our Scottish and Newcastle depots still awaiting delivery. We are therefore asking customers, from today, not to ship parcels to Scotland and Newcastle. The recent bad weather has severely impacted parcel delivery services in Scotland and Newcastle, in addition Interlink Express has unprecedented volumes of parcels being shipped by our customers. The two factors combined mean that our Scottish and Newcastle depots now have severe delivery backlogs. We are making every possible effort to deliver all the parcels we have, this has included working on the last two Saturdays and Sundays, and we believe we have made an industry leading effort to maintain a delivery service even into the worst affected areas. We understand that this announcement will mean disappointment and inconvenience to our customers and we deeply regret that but we are convinced that a policy of openness and honesty regarding this matter is paramount. Interlink Express delivery services to the rest of the country will continue, and collections from Scotland and Newcastle for delivery outside of these areas will continue. Interlink Express will continue to post daily updates on our website and to send detailed update bulletins to our customers as the situation changes. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.
